Our Approach to Achieving Better Results
We believe that wise decisions lead to better results. We use powerful financial planning software, combined with our decades of experience to help guide our decisions. We help our clients make better decisions to give themselves the best possible chance for financial success, whatever that means for them. We believe the best investment strategies are those that are simple and effective. We use time tested strategies with long track records and ongoing academic research to build portfolios that are effective, straightforward, and simple to understand. Any investment you do not understand is one you are more likely make the big mistake. The big mistake is selling when markets are down. We believe the best investment for you, is the one that gives you the best chance of reaching your financial goals.
We believe retirement, or being financially able to retire, is one of the primary financial goal for most of our clients. We specialize in advising on the important issues of: How much should I save for my retirement? When can I retire? What should I invest in? How much can I spend without running out of money? All of this involves striking a balance between spending now and investing for later. We want you to have peace of mind that your future will be secure, without sacrificing in the present so much that it is unpleasant. We use decades of shared experience and powerful software to give individualized data driven advice on how to have a good retirement, whatever that means to you.
We believe an estate plan is a crucial part of a financial plan. It is not a matter of if, but rather when, you will need your estate plan. We help our clients protect their legacy. We will get to know you and those you care about, so when the time comes for someone else to handle your affairs, everything runs smoothly. We partner with The Law Offices of Cheryl David to ensure your wishes are followed.
We believe in protecting what is important. We help our clients ensure against disaster and don’t sweat the small stuff. No financial plan is finished without planning for risk management. We aid our clients in managing the risks of untimely death, disability, and a long-term care need. Insurance is one of many tools that can be used to manage or mitigate these risks. We help our clients measure what risks they are willing to leave uninsured, and which risks they would want to pay someone else to take on.
Top Questions We Receive
When can I retire? – You can retire when you are willing and able to live on the assets and income you have built up over your life. Income may include Social Security, pensions, annuities and anything else that gives guaranteed income. Assets could include stocks, bonds, real estate and more. If you don’t know how much income you can generate from your assets, or you want an expert to help, please send us an email at info@wisdomwealthcare.com or give us a call at 336-218-9344. We would be happy to help.
How much should I have in my emergency fund? – Typically, we advise somewhere between 3 and 6 months of living expenses. For example, if you need to spend $3,000 per month, we advise you have between $9,000 and $18,000 in an emergency fund. If you are single and have an unstable job or don’t get paid regularly, we advise saving more on the 6 month end of the spectrum. Alternatively, if you have a partner and you both have stable jobs and contribute to the household, we advise you to lean more towards the 3 month end of the spectrum.
