Why Choose a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™
Who is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional?
The CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ is the gold standard for personal financial planning. In order to be eligible to receive the designation you first have to hold a bachelor’s degree or higher and complete 12-18 months of additional financial planning coursework. An applicant is also required to have at least 6000 hours of professional experience and adhere to strict ethical and professional standards and act as a fiduciary, always putting their client’s interest first. The applicant must also pass a 6 hour, 170 question test with scenario-based questions, as well as case studies. Even after all of the experience and training, about 1/3 of applicants do not pass the exam on the first try.
How can a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ help me?
